Title I
Title I & Parent Family Engagement
Title I
Title I is a federally funded program under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) designed to support schools with higher economic needs. The goal of Title I is to ensure that all students have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to receive a high-quality education and reach proficiency on challenging state academic standards.
Through Title I, our schools focus on improving student achievement and providing a well-rounded education for every child. Tallassee Elementary School, Southside Middle School, and Tallassee High School all operate as schoolwide Title I programs, meaning the entire school benefits from additional resources and support.
As part of this schoolwide approach, each school:
- Conducts a comprehensive needs assessment
- Identifies goals and strategies to address student needs
- Develops and implements a schoolwide plan
- Reviews progress annually and adjusts as needed
This ongoing process ensures that our schools continue to grow and meet the needs of all students.
Parent and Family Engagement
Tallassee City Schools recognizes that parents and families play a vital role in student success. We are committed to building strong partnerships between home and school to support student learning and achievement.
Parent and Family Engagement is more than involvement—it is a shared responsibility. We strive to provide meaningful opportunities for families to be informed, involved, and engaged in their child’s education.
Through our engagement efforts, we:
- Encourage open and ongoing communication between families and schools
- Provide resources and information to support learning at home
- Offer opportunities for parents to participate in school activities and decision-making
- Work collaboratively to support the academic success of every student
We value your partnership and invite you to be actively involved in your child’s educational journey. Together, we can empower, engage, and inspire every student to succeed.
